The first issue of Hommage, the Collaborator’s Edition, came out in April 2024. I’d been designing it full throttle since December 2023, but it took far longer than that to go from idea to reality. After people first laid hands on it, my ideas about what it should be evolved; from both the feedback I’d received, and my feelings towards seeing it out in the world. Hommage Four was the first time I truly felt like the project had found its feet. That feeling was reinforced by the relative success of the issue. Given the fact I’d made substantial changes to the format and overall presentation, the first few issues suddenly felt out of place. I felt I owed it to the early contributors, the boys and girls kind enough to allow me to work with their work, to give it another go. From that feeling, the Remastered Edition was born.
Hommage Remastered was double the page count of our standard issues, and a precursor to the format the magazine has found most recently.
The Remastered Edition featured the work of AJ Boling, Brennon Grimm, Cody McPhail, Cody Wright, Demetri Sheffield, Dylan Rocamontes, Don Gordon, Denys Crespo, Harrison Boyland, Holden Foster, Ida Judith Dombrowski, Jonathan Kilcullen, Lo Kuehmeier, Michelle Teresa Taylor, Lucas Steinbusch, Stu Conry, Tyler Woodruff, Tre Logan, Victoria J Brill, and Wolfpat Ascherl.
